What equipment can I use for sand workouts?

TL;DR

This is the equipment to use when we want to increase the difficulty of our training.

Equipment to consider when increasing the difficulty of a sand workout.

Equipment

Sand is versatile enough for demanding, comprehensive workouts without equipment. Adding equipment can increase difficulty or bring greater focus to a particular muscle group. The original article highlights these options:

  • Sandbags: useful for increasing the intensity of arm, shoulder and leg work, including squats and lunges.
  • Sand discs: used for specific abdominal or hamstring exercises, providing a challenge with relatively little weight.
  • Ankle weights: versions that can be filled with sand allow the difficulty of leg exercises to be increased.

What equipment do you include in your workouts?
